After four tries, Nick Viall finally found his one true love.
The forever runner-up proposed to Vanessa Grimaldi on the season finale of “The Bachelor” Monday night.
“I will never forget the first moment I saw you,” Viall, 36, said while holding out a Neil Lane diamond ring.
“Every moment since then I’ve been falling more and more in love with you. There have been plenty of times where I’ve tried to fight it and I don’t want to fight it anymore because I do love you. I’m in love with you. So much about me being here has to do with the past. When I look at you, all I see is my future.”
Grimaldi, a 29-year-old special needs teacher from Canada, beat out Raven Gates for the final rose.
Despite revealing earlier in the episode that she was nervous about a possible proposal, Grimaldi couldn’t contain her tears when Viall actually dropped to one knee.
“You’ve noticed every part of me,” she said. “Nick, when I’m with you, I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. I knew this kind of love existed, I just never thought it was going to happen for me until I met you. So thank you for taking another chance on love.”
Viall is already scheduled to compete on the next season of “Dancing with the Stars,” so he’ll be juggling wedding planning with his new choreography.
The next season of “The Bachelorette,” meanwhile, will follow Texas attorney Rachel Lindsay, the first black lead in franchise history.
