An alleged cocaine smuggler trying to get a couple legs up on border guards was busted after they saw what was beneath his pants.
Juan Carlos Galan Luperon, a 28-year-old Manhattan man arriving at JFK Airport from the Dominican Republic, was found with 10 pounds of cocaine taped around his thighs and calves, Customs and Border Protection said Friday.
The alleged smuggler was “bursting out of his pants” and showed signs of nervousness when he tried to enter the country last Saturday, the agency said.
“His pants appeared to be rather snug,” an agency spokesman said in a statement.
His cocaine, after it was removed from his legs, was weighed and judged to be worth more than $164,000.
Luperon is expected to face drug smuggling charges in Brooklyn federal court.
